November 2016

Dear Classmate,

It's time to break out your red jacket and start making plans for our 70th reunion, June 8-11, 2017!

At Tech Reunions, there's something for everyone-the Cardinal and Gray Dinner Dance, Tech Night at Pops, the Cardinal and Gray Academy, the
Technology Day program, and many more opportunities to reconnect with classmates and friends.

Our committee is hard at work planning a class event, and more details will be shared as the reunion date approaches. In the meantime, here are some highlights
of the weekend:

Thursday, June 8

  • Enjoy a cocktail reception followed by The Cardinal and Gray Dinner Dance at a Hyatt ballroom.

Friday, June 9

  • Learn about groundbreaking research from prominent MIT community members at the Cardinal and Gray Academy.
  • Take part in the Prelude to Pops dinner.
  • Watch the 120th annual Tech Night at Pops as MIT takes over Symphony Hall!
  • Connect with classmates at the post-Pops reception.

Saturday,June 10

  • Watch MIT faculty discuss their research at Technology Day, followed by the Technology Day Luncheon.

Sunday, June 11

  • Cheer on classmates and friends at Reunion Row on the Charles River.
  • Conclude your weekend and say goodbye to friends at the jazz-themed.
  • Class Connections Farewell Brunch.

Reunion registration will open in March, with the option to sign up either online or by mail. Here is what you can do right now!

  • Reserve your hotel room. Cardinal and Gray alumni are encouraged to stay at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, and reservation information is enclosed. Hotel rooms tend to sell out quickly so reserve as early as possible.
  • MIT Dorms: MIT dorm rooms may be reserved when registration opens in March. Staying on campus is an affordable option that keeps you and your guests close to campus activities.
  • Update your information or register for your Infinite Connection account at alum.mit.edu. You can use this account to register for reunion events online beginning in March, as well as to search for classmates using the Online Alumni Directory.
  • Contact your friends. Reunions are about people-the more the merrier! Use the Online Alumni Directory at alum.mit.edu to find phone numbers and email addresses.
  • Help find missing classmates. The Alumni Association does not have a mailing address for the enclosed list of classmates. If you have contact information for anyone listed, please reply using the enclosed envelope or email alumnirecords@mit.edu.

For questions, contact Nancye Mims, our Alumni Association staff partner. You can reach her through email at nmims@mit.edu or by phone at 617-253-8059.

We hope you will join us for a wonderful reunion weekend.
